The Empire Company has agreed partnerships with the Canadian Olympic Committee and Hockey Canada which will leverage the conglomerate’s food retailing brands.
Under the COC agreement, Empire’s family of grocers - Sobeys, IGA, Safeway, Farm Boy, Foodland, FreshCo, Thrifty Foods and Rachelle Béry – will serve as the first-ever official grocer of Team Canada.
