Ekstraklasa clubs sign new shirt sponsors

Polish Ekstraklasa football teams Lech Poznan and Jagiellonia Bialystok have signed shirt sponsorship deals with financial services company Aforti and betting company STS, respectively.

Aforti is an existing Lech Poznan partner and has upgraded its association with the club to take on shirt sponsorship rights. The new three-year deal will cover the 2017-18 to 2019-20 seasons.

Aforti partnered with the club last year and had its branding appear on the team’s shorts during the 2016-17 season. Under the new agreement, the company will benefit from brand exposure through official club media and in-stadium advertising.

Lech Poznan chief executive Karol Klimczak said: “Lech Poznan is a club that is developing very dynamically and from year to year is gaining more and more recognition. The fact that Aforti Holding after a year-long collaboration with us has decided to increase its commitment to the Kolejorz… only confirms that our vision and chosen strategy will lead us in the right direction.”

Meanwhile, STS has signed a two-year deal with Jagiellonia, covering the 2017-18 to 2018-19 seasons.

The company’s logo will feature on the front of the club’s shirts, as well as on LED advertising banners and in the backdrop of press conferences. STS will also organise joint marketing initiatives with Jagiellonia to promote the partnership, with related content to be distributed on the club’s website and social media channels.

Cezary Kulesza, chairman of Jagiellonia Bialystok, said: “Our new main sponsor is known as a good partner, working in favour of sport as an official partner of the Polish national team, as well as the strategic sponsor of Lech Poznan. We hope this is the beginning of a long and fruitful cooperation.”
