Eintracht Frankfurt locks down Verimi partnership

German Bundesliga football club Eintracht Frankfurt has agreed a one-year partnership with online security company Verimi.

Eintracht will integrate Verimi’s centralised login services into its digital products, with ID and payment security services to follow.

The agreement also includes marketing rights such as logo presence and LED board advertising at home games in the Commerzbank-Arena. An additional focus has been placed on digital campaigns.

The deal comes after Eintracht participated in Verimi’s beta testing at the end of last year. Torsten Sonntag, chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Verimi, said: “The trust between club and fans in Frankfurt is enormous. Verimi wants to connect as a trust service and together with Eintracht develop digital services and support them as an identity platform.”
