Hungarian power company MVM Group has struck a deal to become the title sponsor of the 2014 European Handball Federation Final Four women’s club tournament.
MVM Group agreed the deal with the Hungarian Handball Federation, host of the competition.
Under the agreement, the tournament will be known as the 2014 MVM EHF Final Four.
MVM Group already has ties to the sport through its title sponsorship of Hungarian men’s team MKB-MVM Veszprém and a partnership with women’s team, Győri Audi ETO KC.
György Felkai, communications director of the MVM Group, said: “The strategic aim of MVM Zrt. is to gain a significant role in sports on a regional level. This can be supported with sponsoring athletes, teams and events, whose results could increase the reputation of MVM. We believe that this event will increase both the country’s and our group’s reputation in Hungary and international level.”
The 2014 Final Four will take place from May 3-4 at the Papp László Budapest Sportarén in Hungary.
