Meat products manufacturer Eckrich has renewed its sponsorship of the College Football Playoff, an annual post-season competition in the US collegiate American football system.
Eckrich will continue as the Official smoked sausage and deli meat Sponsor of the CFP in 2018 and 2019.
As part of the agreement, Eckrich will host a multi-faceted campaign during the 2018 college season and at the 2019 championship game.
Among the initiatives will be the returning Road to the National Championship sweepstakes competition, which gives fans the chance to make a 15-yard throw for $1m (€863,000). The throws will be held during the season’s biggest games, and at the 2019 CFP National Championship in Santa Clara, California.
The Road to the National Championship sweepstakes will be promoted through experiential marketing, digital media, shopper marketing and in-store signage, public relations and on social media. Eckrich products will also be sold at stadia across the US.
