ECB agrees extended deal with Kia

The England and Wales Cricket Board has expanded its partnership with the UK division of Korean automotive manufacturer Kia.

The new deal will run for two years and designates Kia as the official car partner of the ECB.

Kia will receive a wide range of sponsorship and marketing rights, including perimeter advertising, posters and in-venue activation at all men’s and women’s national team matches.

The firm has a long-standing affinity with cricket, serving as the inaugural title sponsor of the women’s Super League and also the first official partner of the women’s national side. In September, Kia extended this contract by a further two years through to the end of 2019.

Rob Calder, commercial director at the ECB, said: “Kia are part of cricket in this country through their existing partnerships, in county cricket and the women’s game both internationally and domestically. Their passion for the sport and progressive outlook fits perfectly with our own plans to innovate and grow the game.”
