Dunkin’ Brands breaks into Premier League with Liverpool tie-up

US quick-service restaurant group Dunkin’ Brands has made its first entry into the English Premier League football market after agreeing a multi-year partnership with Liverpool.

Dunkin' Brands is the parent company for both Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, with the former becoming Liverpool’s official coffee, tea and bakery provider, and the latter the club’s official ice cream provider.

Dunkin' Brands currently has more than 18,000 points of distribution in nearly 60 countries worldwide, including nearly 11,000 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in 33 countries and more than 7,250 Baskin-Robbins shops in nearly 50 countries.

The company envisages that the Liverpool partnership will aid its global expansion. In 2013, Dunkin' Brands opened 790 new restaurants around the world, with 415 of these restaurants located outside the US.
