Draft Ops teams up with Washington franchises

Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which operates three of the leading sports franchises in Washington DC, has agreed a partnership with fantasy sports operator Draft Ops.

NBA basketball franchise the Washington Wizards, NHL ice hockey club the Washington Capitals and WNBA women’s basketball franchise the Washington Mystics will all team up with Draft Ops as part of the five-year partnership, which will run from 2015-16 to 2019-20.

The Mystics will receive jersey sponsorship from Draft Ops and the deal also includes the presenting partnerships of all three of the franchises’ training camps.

The 18,000-capacity Verizon Center stadium, where the Wizards, the Capitals and the Mystics all play their home games, will also have a 3,500 square-foot Draft Ops Fantasy Lounge installed for fans.

Patrick Duffy, senior vice-president of corporate partnerships for Monumental Sports & Entertainment, said: “Draft Ops’ activation across all three teams, Monumental Network and the arena will provide another destination for all of our fans and continue to enhance the game-day experience.”
