Deutsche Telekom to title sponsor BBL Pokal

German telco Deutsche Telekom has agreed a deal for its MagentaSport service to become the new title sponsor of the BBL Pokal domestic basketball competition.

The deal has been signed ahead of the semi-finals of the 2018-19 BBL Pokal on January 20.

Financial terms of the agreement, which will initially run until the end of the 2022-23 season, were not disclosed.

Deutsche Telekom will benefit from extensive communication and marketing rights as part of the deal.

MagentaSport has been broadcasting the Basketball Bundesliga since the 2014-15 season.
