Detroit Pistons sign Jeep partnership ahead of arena move

NBA basketball team the Detroit Pistons has entered into a partnership with automotive manufacturer Jeep.

The multi-year deal names Jeep as the exclusive domestic vehicle partner of the Pistons.

As part of the agreement, Jeep’s logo will feature on the court during games at Little Caesars Arena, the Pistons’ new home which it will share with NHL ice hockey team the Detroit Red Wings. Jeep’s branding will be located on the court aprons in front of the home and visiting team benches.

The company will also be the official sponsor of the Pistons Programming Network’s ‘Wired’ series on the club’s website. The series will feature a compilation of in-game comments and game reaction from players and coaches.

In addition, Jeep will sponsor the ‘Life in the League’ feature, in which players will provide fans with an insight into their daily lifestyles on and off the court.

Further promotion will be provided across the Pistons’ social media channels with Power Performance, a social graphic highlighting the standout performances following the team’s wins, and Social Mosaic, through which fans can share photos using a hashtag for the chance to be featured on the in-arena scoreboard and win prizes.

Additional signage will be provided at Little Caesars Arena through the Via concourse jewel skin, a technological compilation of dimensional metal panels that creates a single projection screen inside the venue. Jeep’s logo will also feature on stanchions and LED ring display signage inside the arena bowl.
