Delta signs on as new Masters partner

Delta Air Lines has agreed a deal to become an international partner of the Masters golf tournament.

The length of the multi-year agreement was not disclosed but it will begin with the 2018 edition of the Masters, which is one of golf’s four major championships.

Delta joins UPS and Rolex as international partners of the Masters. AT&T, IBM and Mercedes-Benz currently serve as global sponsors of the tournament.

"This partnership pairs the world's leading US global carrier with professional golf's premier tournament – the Masters," Delta chief executive Ed Bastian said. "As we continue to grow our presence around the globe, opportunities like this one help increase awareness of our brand with our global customers."

The 2018 Masters will take place from April 2-8 at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. Spain’s Sergio Garcia (pictured) is the defending champion.
