Cryptocurrency advertising under scrutiny as Spanish watchdog prepares regulation

Spain’s National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has warned that it is preparing new regulation over the advertising of cryptocurrency firms and their products.

Faced with curbs on betting advertising, several Spanish football clubs and rights-holders have turned to the burgeoning but largely unregulated crypto sector.
