Cricket Australia is reported to have snubbed a sponsorship approach from fast food giant McDonald’s, worth upwards of A$10m (€6.05m/$7.12m) per year.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that McDonald’s had tried to take the Big Bash League naming rights from its commercial competitor KFC, a long-term sponsor of the competition. KFC looks likely to extend its existing arrangement with CA, in a deal said to be worth A$8m a year.
