The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) has today (Friday) announced a partnership with online betting company Betfair.
The deal will run until December 31, 2022 and names Betfair as an official partner of the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana club competitions.
Betfair will benefit from exposure across South America via in-stadium branding, as well as broadcast and digital assets.
Betfair joins Amstel, Bridgestone, Gatorade, Mastercard, Qatar Airways, Santander, Rexona and Tag Heuer as sponsors of Conmebol’s club competitions.
Due to regulatory reasons, the ‘Betfair.net’ brand name will appear on pitch-side advertising and in the backdrop of interviews during Conmebol club matches. The Games Magazine website noted that the .net extension allows users to bypass certain IP blocks imposed in South America.
