Motor oil and lubricants company Castrol has extended its sponsorship agreement with the NFL American football league through March 2017.
The new multi-year deal will extend a relationship that began in 2010.
Castrol will remain the official motor oil sponsor of the NFL and retain category exclusivity in the motor oil and related lubricants field.
Castrol branding will also continue to feature across various NFL platforms including game broadcasts, the NFL Network, NFL Mobile and the league’s official website.
The extension comes on the back of a campaign that focused on Castrol’s ‘Driven Stronger’ brand, which was promoted through multiple channels. The NFL highlighted the best ‘Driven Stronger’ players by position each week of the season on its website to provide fans with information on the league’s best players. The Minnesota Vikings’ star running back, Adrian Peterson, acted as Castrol’s official brand ambassador for the campaign.
