Casio keeps F1 relationship ticking with Toro Rosso deal

Japanese watch brand Casio has agreed a two-year deal to become an official partner of Formula One motor racing team Toro Rosso.

The partnership will cover the 2016 and 2017 Formula One seasons. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Under the deal, the logo of Casio’s Edifice watch brand will appear on the race suits of Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz, the team’s two drivers, along with on the nose of the STR11 race car. A number of Edifice watches will also be supplied to the team.

The end of the 2015 season saw Casio’s six-year association with Toro Rosso’s sister team Red Bull Racing come to an end. Swiss luxury watch brand Tag Heuer in December signed a multi-year agreement to replace Casio at Red Bull.
