CareerBuilder secures long-term presence with PGA Tour

Human capital solutions company CareerBuilder has agreed to become the long-term title sponsor of the PGA Tour’s Bob Hope Classic Pro-Am event, along with entering into a wider relationship with the US golf organisation.

The tournament will be renamed as the CareerBuilder Challenge under a six-year sponsorship that runs from 2016 to 2021.

CareerBuilder replaces Humana, which became the title sponsor of the Bob Hope Classic in 2012.

It will work alongside tournament partners Desert Classic Charities and the Clinton Foundation on the events’ charitable initiatives, while the late tournament host Bob Hope will be honoured by the Bob Hope Trophy being awarded to the winner of the CareerBuilder Challenge.

CareerBuilder will also join the PGA Tour’s official marketing partner programme as the official career site of the PGA Tour and Champions Tour.

“CareerBuilder is excited to become the title sponsor of a tournament that is not only rich in tradition and sports excellence, but also has a strong commitment to philanthropy,” Matt Ferguson, chief executive of CareerBuilder, said. “This is a great venue to showcase our technology and evolution into a global HR SaaS company.”
