Canon snaps up Singapore Sports Hub deal

Photographic and digital imaging solutions giant Canon has agreed a three-year deal to serve as the latest founding partner of the Singapore Sports Hub.

Under the agreement, Canon’s Singapore subsidiary will be promoted throughout the multi-venue facility via branding hospitality and signage rights.

Canon will also offer the Sports Hub and its consortium members its print and document management solutions and specialist outsourcing services, while making a contribution to its partners community outreach efforts.

In November last year, banking group OCBC signed a 15-year partnership to become the premier founding partner of the Singapore Sports Hub – granting it the naming rights to its indoor arena, aquatics centre and hospitality areas at the national stadium. OCBC’s insurance subsidiary Great Eastern became a founding partner in May with Canon becoming the fourth partner at this level, joining telecommunications company StarHub and beer brand Tiger.

The Sports Hub deal is Canon’s latest commitment to Singapore sport after it recently signed a two-year extension to its sponsorship agreement with SingaporeBowling, building upon a six-year association with the national governing body.
