Government-owned bank Caixa Economica Federal has renewed its title sponsorship of the Campeonato Brasileiro for the second edition of the women’s football league.
The league, which debuted in 2013, will again feature the country’s 20 leading clubs from nine states. In 2013, Sao Paulo secured the women’s Campeonato Brasileiro title.
Caixa has a firmly established presence in Brazilian football. In July, it made Campeonato Brasiliero Serie A men’s team Sport Club do Recife the 14th domestic club it has a commercial partnership with under a four-year deal.
