French oil and gas giant Total has expanded its partnership with the Badminton World Federation to sponsor the season-ending World Superseries Finals, which are held in Dubai.
The agreement covers the 2016 and 2017 editions of the tournament, with Total to serve as the event’s official energy partner.
The deal builds upon Total’s existing agreement with the BWF that was signed last year. Under the deal, which runs until 2018, Total holds title sponsorship rights to all major BWF events including the Sudirman Cup, Thomas & Uber Cup Finals and the World Championships.
Total already serves as a commercial partner of World Superseries events in China, India, Malaysia and Indonesia.
