Bundesliga’s Paderborn keeps shirt sponsor onside

German Bundesliga football club SC Paderborn has signed a two-year extension with shirt sponsor kfzteile24.

The automotive accessories and spare parts e-commerce company first partnered with Paderborn in 2012-13 and, with its contract due to expire at the end of the current season, it has signed a new deal running through 2016-17.

Financial terms were not disclosed for the deal, which was brokered by the Infront Sports & Media agency.

Reinhardt Weinberger, managing director of Infront Germany, said: “The early extension, which is irrespective of the league, underpins the kfzteile24 brand’s confidence in the club – allowing SC Paderborn to plan for the long-term. The eye-catching advertising space on the shirt ensures high media visibility and aligns the brand closely with the popular Bundesliga club.”

Paderborn is 10th in the Bundesliga at the halfway point of the current campaign following promotion from the 2.Bundesliga last season.
