British Cycling lands new apparel partner

The British Cycling governing body has entered into a new apparel partnership with Czech cycle wear provider Kalas.

The four-year deal becomes effective on January 1, 2017 and will run until the end of 2020. Kalas will serve as the official clothing supplier of the Great Britain cycling team.

Under the agreement, Kalas will supply British Cycling riders and staff with on- and off-bike clothing. Kalas will replace German sportswear giant Adidas as the body's apparel partner.

“Kalas, in addition to being able to deliver on all of our primary objectives, will help consolidate British Cycling’s reputation of being at the forefront of elite cycling across all disciplines,” British Cycling chief operating officer Jamie Obank said. “Both parties are excited about working together to produce the next generation of performance race-wear through our unique collaboration.”

Kalas director and co-owner, Jakub Věncek, added: “This is a proud moment in the history of our company. We are honoured to be chosen by British Cycling ahead of some more famous companies.”
