Bristol Rugby pours Thatchers partnership for Premiership return

Cider brand Thatchers has agreed a sponsorship deal with English Premiership rugby union team Bristol Rugby.

The one-year deal will cover the 2016-17 Premiership campaign, which will mark the team's first top-flight season in seven years following relegation in 2009.

Under the agreement, Thatchers’ branding will appear on Bristol’s home and away shirts, and on the club’s ladies’ kit. The brand will also serve as Bristol’s official man of the match partner.

In addition, Thatchers has partnered with Ashton Gate Stadium, the home ground of Bristol Rugby and second-tier Championship football club Bristol City. Starting with Bristol City’s season-opening game against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, Thatchers Gold, Haze and Dry will be available on draught throughout the ground.

Thatchers has been a long-term partner of Bristol Sport, which oversees the running of a number of the city’s teams.
