BrewDog signs up first US sports partner

The BrewDog USA division of the UK brewery has linked up with the Columbus Blue Jackets NHL ice hockey franchise to launch its first sports partnership in the US.

Under the agreement, BrewDog's Ohio-brewed Punk IPA will headline its offerings for hockey games and special events at two branded portable locations within Nationwide Arena, the team’s home arena.

The partnership also includes the launch of a community platform in which BrewDog will present a Blue Jackets digital feature promoting adoptable dogs available through the Capital Area Humane Society.

In addition, at the Blue Jackets’ Dog Days events, BrewDog's craft beer and food offerings will be available.

Meanwhile, the NHL’s Florida Panthers has signed a sponsorship deal with air conditioning and ventilation company Cooper and Hunter.

The multi-year agreement will see Cooper and Hunter benefit through signage throughout the BB&T Center.
