Watch manufacturer Bremont has sealed a deal to become the official timing partner of the America’s Cup and the sailing event’s defending champion, Oracle Team USA.
As part of the deal, which will allow Bremont’s logo to adorn the Oracle catamarans and receive exposure via broadcast coverage, the company will also produce a new series of timepieces to mark the partnership.
“Bremont partnering with the America’s Cup and Oracle Team USA is hugely exciting because we love what they have done as a business, their products and what the brand stands for. We wanted to work closely with a company that brings passion and expertise to engineering expertise to create world class products,” America's Cup Event Authority director Russell Coutts said.
Bremont co-founder Nick English added: “As with all our partners we will look to learn from them and work closely on a technical level but we also intend to explore the Cup's rich history.”
