Bouygues backs France’s Ryder Cup

French construction engineering company Bouygues Construction has partnered with the French Golf Federation to sponsor the 2018 edition of the Ryder Cup, which will be staged at Le Golf National near Paris.

Paris-headquartered Bouygues joins the ‘Club des Partenaires France 2018’, a group of major French companies that have expressed their backing of next year’s Ryder Cup.

Pascal Grizot, president of the France 2018 Ryder Cup Committee, said: “To count a new large French group on our side provides true added value and demonstrates yet again the immense attractiveness of the Ryder Cup. The success of our project was based on an ambitious public – private partnership and on the innovative support of our partners.”

The Ryder Cup is contested by representative teams from Europe and the United States. Last year’s event took place at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota and was won by the US, ending a run of three consecutive victories for Europe.

France’s Ryder Cup will take place from September 28-30, 2018.
