Botafogo gears up for Serie A return with Topper deal

Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Botafogo has named Brazilian sportswear brand Topper as its new kit partner.

The three-year agreement will become effective in May and will cover the 2016 Serie A season, as well as the 2017 and 2018 campaigns. Botafogo confirmed that the deal would be worth in excess of R$40m (€9m/$10m).

Topper will replace German sportswear brand Puma as the club’s kit supplier. Puma’s four-year association with Botafogo, which won the Serie B title in 2015, will come to an end in April.
