Bobcats switch technology providers

The Charlotte Bobcats have agreed a three-year deal, from 2013-14 to 2015-16, for Technocom Business Systems to become the National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise’s new technology provider, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

The agreement begins this month and will allow the company to have its logo displayed on the electronic signs inside the seating bowl at Time Warner Cable Arena. Other elements include access for the company to VIP entertainment areas, a Technocom office centre at the arena to display various products and tickets for Bobcats games, concerts and other events.

The Bobcats have agreed to lease all of their printers and copiers from Technocom. Kyocera, a manufacturer of printers and copiers, is assisting Technocom with the sponsorship and, in return Kyocera products will be featured as part of the Bobcats agreement.

Technocom replaces Toshiba as the technology provider for the team.
