BMW gets behind golf’s New Zealand Open

BMW has agreed a deal to become the official sponsor of the New Zealand Golf Open, according to the New Zealand Herald newspaper.

Terms of the deal were undisclosed, but the New Zealand arm of the German automotive company will back the 2014 edition of the NZ Open, which will be contested at The Hills and Millbrook Resort, in Queenstown, from February 27 to March 2.

The agreement adds to BMW’s presence in the global golf market. BMW is a partner of a number of leading professional tournaments such as the BMW Championship, Ryder Cup, BMW PGA Championship and BMW International Open.
