Online betting and casino operator Betway has agreed a deal to extend its title sponsorship of the Professional Darts Corporation’s Premier League Darts series by an additional three years.
The new deal will cover the 2015, 2016 and 2017 editions of the competition, which will continue to be known as Betway Premier League Darts.
The extended deal will see the prize fund for the 2015 series increase to a record £700,000 (€883,540/$1.1m), up from £550,000 in 2014. The overall winner will receive £200,000.
Betway first became title sponsor of the series in 2014 in a move that marked its first major sports sponsorship.
