UK public-service broadcaster the BBC has agreed a five-year extension to its rights deal for RideLondon, while US automotive manufacturer Ford has signed on as presenting partner of the event touted as the world’s greatest cycling festival.
The BBC’s new contract will run through to 2026 and comes as RideLondon returns on May 27-29, after a three-year absence due to Covid-19, in a new format and a new partnership with Essex County Council. Surrey County Council previously partnered with the event from 2013 to 2020.
