Barcelona targets Japanese market with Apamanshop deal

Spanish Liga football club Barcelona has signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Japanese real estate agency Apamanshop.

Under the deal, Apamanshop becomes a regional sponsor of Barcelona in Japan until 2016, effective from November 1.

Apamanshop will enjoy the rights to use Barcelona club and player imagery in marketing campaigns and promotional products.

Barcelona is making a concerted effort with regards to growth in the Asian market, having establishing a club office in Hong Kong.

Apamanshop becomes Barcelona’s 14th regional partner and its second such signing in the space of a week.

Barcelona last week agreed a three-year sponsorship deal in the Latin American market with men’s personal care brand Gillette, with the two new additions joining Chang Beer, Big Cola, Suning, Tecate, Samba Financial Group, Castle Lager, Avea, Advan, Head & Shoulders, United Arab Bank, Mora Banc and Indosat.
