Baku 2015 takes off with airline partner

Baku 2015 has agreed an official partnership deal with Azerbaijan Airlines, the national flag carrier of the host country of the inaugural European Games multi-sport event.

Under the deal, Baku 2015 branding will feature on Azerbaijan Airlines planes and in-flight content such as movies and magazines to help raise awareness of the event.

In addition, Baku 2015 will benefit from an enhanced presence at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Azerbaijan’s main airport that will welcome the majority of visitors for the Games. Azerbaijan Airlines is to increase its number of daily flights to the airport next year due to the multi-sport event.

Azad Rahimov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports and Baku 2015 chief executive, said: “They are one of the most popular companies within Azerbaijan and they will help us to ensure that the European Games have a visible presence worldwide.”

Azerbaijan Airlines will become the sixth official partner of Baku 2015, joining P&G, Tissot, BP, Nar Mobile and SOCAR.
