Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Atlético Mineiro has agreed a kit sponsorship deal with Brazilian solar energy company Solatio Energia.
The deal runs until the end of the 2017 season and will result in Solatio Energia’s branding featuring on Atlético’s playing shorts.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed but the Hoje em Dia newspaper said the deal would earn Atlético around R$2m (€608,000/$646,000).
Solatio Energia replaces supermarket chain Supermercados BH as the team’s shorts sponsor. Supermercados BH’s branding will now feature on Atlético’s shirts.
