Atlético Madrid signs Caribbean, South America-focused deal

Spanish football club Atlético Madrid has signed a new partnership targeting its fans in South America and the Caribbean.

Atlético said it had agreed a four-year deal with Nibank, a financial services institution based in the Dominican Republic, Antigua and Barbuda.

The sponsorship agreement will seek to develop payment cards and other similar services using the Atlético brand.

Atlético said in a statement: “The agreement… wants to offer more and better options of payment to the followers of our team in South America and the Caribbean, reinforcing their Atlético identity and passion for football.”
