Athletes continue to rail against Rule 40 restrictions in global survey

A majority of athletes believe they should have the right to build and sell their brands at the Olympic and Paralympic Games, according to a new survey.

80 per cent of respondents in the poll by Global Athlete, the body which was established to represent the interests of athletes around the world, either agreed or strongly agreed that they should be allowed to control their marketing rights at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and other national competitions.
