Amazon links up with French basketball league

E-commerce giant Amazon has entered into a partnership with France’s National Basketball League (LNB).

The three-year deal will cover the 2017-18 to 2019-20 seasons.

As part of the agreement, an LNB-dedicated shop will be created on the Amazon.fr website. The shop will sell items such as jerseys, balls, shorts, caps and bags.

In return, Amazon will benefit from brand exposure on the shorts of all Pro A and Pro B players, as well as in-arena advertising. It will also sponsor LNB games broadcast by SFR Sport.

Alain Béral, LNB president, said: “This historic association will allow the LNB and its clubs to continue their development and their ability to always innovate on digital (initiatives).”
