Ain’t no mountain high enough for Liverpool FC’s official alpine destination partner

Liverpool FC has scaled the snowy peaks of sports sponsorship in its latest deal, after teaming up with Swiss ski resort Verbier as the club’s first ever official Alpine tourism destination.

Under the four-year deal, Verbier will offer exclusive discounts and experiences to Liverpool fans, and will host a week-long activation event at the resort in January next year.

Verbier kicked off the partnership this month by releasing a promo video featuring former Liverpool FC striker Robbie Fowler, who is pictured enjoying a spot of alpine skiing 1,500 metres above sea level at the Verbier resort.

But on returning to the north of England to face a dreary drive home along the M62, Fowler is greeted by a text message from someone who is waiting on him.

‘When you’ve finished messing about,’ the text reads, ’don’t forget the shopping.’

Earlier this week, Liverpool FC announced another innovative partnership with UK fintech brand TigerWit.

Under a new global partnership, TigerWit will become the club’s Official Online Foreign Exchange Trading Partner for the 2018-19 season.
