ADK president arrested as Tokyo 2020 bribery scandal widens

Shinichi Ueno, president of Japanese advertising firm ADK Holdings, has been arrested in connection with the corruption scandal over sponsorship deals for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, while former Tokyo 2020 executive Haruyuki Takahashi has been served a fourth arrest warrant over the case.

The Reuters and Kyodo news agencies have reported that 68-year-old Ueno was arrested along with Shigeharu Hisamatsu and Toshiaki Tada, who previously worked at ADK and were involved in Olympic-related operations.
