Adidas teams up with Southampton

English Premier League football club Southampton has entered into a “long-term” kit partnership with Adidas.

The German sportswear firm will replace Umbro in the role, with its contract commencing on June 1. Following promotion from the Championship in 2011-12, Southampton finished 14th in its first campaign back in the Premier League last season.

Steven Holland, senior manager of clubs at Adidas, said: “Southampton Football Club is a very welcome addition to our portfolio of clubs. When we first met with them, it was clear to see the plans and ambition the club has for the future both on and off pitch.”
