German sportswear giant Adidas has agreed an extension to its partnership with Indiana University’s athletics department.
The deal will run for eight years, from 2015-16 through to the end of the 2023-24 academic year.
Under the agreement, which the university said is worth $53.6 million (€44.9 million), Adidas will continue to supply playing apparel and equipment to all IU Athletics teams.
Adidas will also provide IU Athletics with a branding audit to ensure a uniform and consistent look across all of the university’s Hoosiers sports teams.
The deal also includes a marketing commitment through which Adidas will co-brand with IU Athletics in marketing campaigns, social media efforts and in-store promotions.
