Hotel group Accor has reached an agreement to become an official supplier to the French Open tennis tournament.
The French company’s sponsorship is for the next three editions of the grand slam at Roland-Garros, from 2015 to 2017. The 2015 French Open runs from May 24 to June 7.
Under the agreement, Accor will have a presence on-site during the tournament and benefit from sponsorship visibility for its Accorhotels.com website and Le Club Accorhotels loyalty programme.
Sofitel, Accor’s luxury hotel brand, will be responsible for the concierge service in the players’ lounge and the tournament’s corporate partners’ village.
Grégoire Champetier, Accor’s global chief marketing officer, said: “Roland-Garros, which is one of the world’s most prestigious sports events and has remarkable international media coverage, was an obvious choice for the group. Roland-Garros and Accor is a motivating alliance for both our customers all over the world and our employees.”
