Driving customer engagement and generating sales is key to Spanish bank BBVA’s sponsorship strategy.
A clutch of sponsorship deals was agreed this month by clubs from Italy’s top two basketball leagues, all with values in the low hundreds of thousands of euros. The relatively low value of the deals shows how far the sponsorship market has collapsed for Italian club basketball over the last decade.
Spanish savings bank La Caixa has signed a two-year presenting sponsorship, from 2015 to 2016, with the Copa del Rey Spanish domestic basketball tournament. The deal fulfils the organiser’s requirement to exclusively sign a major Spain-based brand.
