UK RETAILER Halfords has announced big profits on the back of double digit increases in the sales of bikes. Citing Team GB's runaway cycling success at the Olympics the company, which also sponsors the Tour of Britain, said bicycle sales were up 15 per cent pushing it to its biggest profits for several years and bucking the trend of struggles in the high street.
