Merchandise sales contribute over £100m to LOCOG commercial revenues

THEY MAY HAVE BEEN dismissed as scary, metallic and monocular but Olympic mascots Wenlock and Mandeville helped to deliver merchandise sales success to London 2012 organisers. Early reports from the organisers indicate that the Team GB kit was the best selling collection of merchandise but mascot toys, collectable pins, coins and Union flags have also helped deliver above target sales.
