Sharp changes course on Euro 2012 sponsorship to make a point for two businesses

FRONTIERS' EAGLE EYES spotted an interesting addition to tech company Sharp’s pitch side advertising during the England vs Ukraine Euro 2012 game. British viewers of the game, which was screened on free-to-air channel ITV were reminded that Sharp was sponsoring its coverage in an attempt to promote the company’s flatscreen televisions. But, the hoardings around the game promoted another division of the Japanese manufacturers business, its renewable energy brand Sharp Solar.
