QPR flies with Malaysian Airlines and AirAsia

QUEENS PARK RANGERS (QPR) has agreed an innovative shirt sponsorship deal with Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia. Malaysia Airlines will sponsor QPR’s home shirt for the next two seasons, whilst AirAsia’s brand will be displayed on the Barclays Premier League club’s away and third jerseys for the same period. The new “multi million pound” agreement comes after Malaysian businessman Tony Fernandes, chief executive of AirAsia, completed his takeover of the club in August. In August, AirAsia agreed to exchange 10% of the company for a 20% stake in Malaysian Airlines, bringing the country’s two airlines closer together.
