PETRÓLEOS DE VENEZUELA, S.A (PDVSA), Venezuela’s national energy company and the world’s fifth largest oil exporter, has signed a “long-term” deal with Williams F1 in support of the Venezuelan F1 debutant Pastor Maldonado. The deal brings an estimated $16m of sponsorship from local Venezuelan businesses, including PDVSA, and makes up 36.4 per cent of the team’s total sponsorship tally of $44m this season.
