Deloitte boss takes to the saddle for Paralympics

NOT CONTENT WITH putting his company's brand to the wheel for London 2012, Deloitte's new CEO David Sproul is getting personally involved. Sproul is joining 100 other lycra-sporting Deloitte staff on the 950 John O'Groats to Lands End cycle ride to raise money for Paralympics GB. Normally found in the more rarefied atmosphere of tax and accounting, Sproul will be riding alongside Matt Brittin, head of Google in the UK and Cisco's UK and Ireland boss Phil Smith on the 95 mile run from Ludlow to Bath. No doubt there will be some healthy competition between the thrusting execs on a ride which is likely to be more physically than financially taxing. - 17/6/2011
